Police seek help in missing person case

Lenoir, N.C. – (Tuesday, June 21, 2022) The City of Lenoir Police Department is requesting the  public’s assistance in locating a missing person. April Michelle Reid, 37 years of age, was reported  missing by family members on March 20, 2021. Detectives have conducted an extensive  investigation to determine the circumstances of her disappearance and whereabouts. They have yet  to locate her.  

Family members reported to have last spoken with Ms. Reid on or about the date of February 28,  2021. She was last seen on February 15, 2021, on a surveillance camera in Hickory, N.C.  (Surveillance and additional photos are provided with this release).  

Ms. Reid did not have a mode of transportation and traveled with acquaintances. She is described as  5 foot 5 inches, weighing approximately 110 pounds, with blonde hair and green eyes. Ms. Reid  often requires the assistance of a cane to walk.  

If you have information concerning her current location, please call the City of Lenoir Police  Department’s Communications Center at 828-757-2100 at any time, day or night. The public can also  contact investigations at 828-759-1682. 

 

There is up to $1,000.00 available through the Lenoir / Caldwell County Crime Stoppers for anyone  who can provide information leading to April’s whereabouts. Callers can remain anonymous by  calling 828-758-8300. All information provided through Crime Stoppers will be kept strictly  confidential.
