Schools invite parents and students to attend open houses and orientations before the school year begins on August 29, 2022.
During these events, parents and students become more familiar with how things work in the school environment. They meet teachers and administrators, get their room assignments or class schedules, receive information on bus transportation, child nutrition, before/after school care, and other relevant topics to start the school year off successfully.
All parents will be given a data sheet to complete for each of their school-aged children. This information is entered into PowerSchool, a student information system used in communicating with parents throughout the school year. Current student contact information is critical to communicating effectively from school to home, staying connected on a regular basis with announcements, receiving daily attendance notifications and being alerted of any emergencies.
Open houses and orientations begin the transition from summer break to starting the school year, providing a jump-start on developing new friendships and setting goals for the upcoming academic standards.

The Caldwell Early College High School and Caldwell Applied Sciences Academy, both specialized high schools located on the campus of Caldwell Community College and Technical Institute, began school on August 11, 2022. The first day back to school for all other students is Monday, August 29, 2022.
